>Little Explorers Issue 5 Is OUT NOW!!

>

It’s out now! We are featured in issue 5 of Little Explorers Magazine alhamdulilah (All praise due to God) If you look at the bottom left hand corner we wrote an article on how to make Ummi Dough (playdough).

The recipe we have featured in the magazine can be found in our blog, check our how to section!

If you have the magazine and seen the article, give us some feedback and let us know what you think!

It was a great process writing the Let’s Make It At Home section of Little Explorers Magazine.

It has been a long time since I have been in a printed publication and so it was exciting to sit down and share what I love to do with my own children. It was kind of like bring Habeebee Homeschooling to Little Explorers Magazine for the world to see and alhamdulilah it was a big honor.
It also gave me a good happy and wonderful feeling to do one of the second things I love to do, which is write. I enjoy the magazine and so do the children, there are a lot of interesting and islamic facts for young muslim children. It has been my pleasure to take part in something that benefits the ummah alhamdulilah!!

InshaAllah we pray in the near future to continue spreading different ideas parents can do at home with their children, that promotes family bonding and hands on learning. At the end of the day we want parents to make the best memories with their children, even simple activties such as making playdough has a long lasting effect on all our hearts.

My children have turned their playdough into anything their hearts desired, their imagination went free and we even made a volcano out of it.  So make that playdough and all the things you can do with it is endless!!

>Edible Slime!

>

Edible Slime!!
Materials One 14- ounce can of sweetened condensed milk
One Tbs of cornstarch
10-15 drops of red or green food coloring
~~~~~~~~~~
Pour the can of condensed milk into a saucepan.
Add the cornstarch and cook over a low heat, stirring constantly.
When the mixture thickens remove it from the heat and then add the food coloring.
Allow it to cool before playing or eating, can be used as a fun paper paint. My boys loved this, but we don’t recommend doing this often. It a special project that we do once in awhile. enjoy and let us know how it goes!
