Cooking Challenge- Rooty Tooty Fresh & Fruity Pancakes

Rooty Tooty Fresh and Fruity
makes 3-4 pancakes

1 cup pancake mix
3/4 cup water
1 tablespoon of cinnamon
1/4 cup raisins
1 table spoon of Jelly
1 mashed banana (optional)

My son mixed 1 cup of pancake mix and one cup water together. He then added the cinnamon and raisins and continued to stir them until the lumps had dissolved. This would be a good point to add in any mashed up bananas if you have any.

I helped him to get some of the pancake mix from the bottom of the cup, then he continued to stir again until he was satisfied. While he was in the midst of stirring placed a cold pot (we have no pan so we adapt to what we have), and he poured the pancake mixture into the pot.

Ummi’s only part…. On the stove I cooked the pancakes, flipping them over until each was a golden brown color. Once they were finished I removed them, placed them on a cold plate and then put butter on the top. We usually let our food cool just a bit so he doesn’t get burned.

Now it was my sons turn to slather on the jelly as generously as he would like.

I really loved doing this with him. We tried this another day, but doing this as a challenge to have him participating more in the mixing and putting in as many raisins and ingredients as he would like was really fun to watch.
